The Leader of the Intermediates |
|
The OXIGEN II is the ultimate freerider, suitable for
all kiting activities. Whether in a buggy, on a board or on
foot. On sand, grass or snow, for racing, easy cruising or
for freestyle, this intermediate offers extra performance
with high stability, yet is almost as easy to handle as a
beginners kite
|
In comparison to the original
model, the U-Turn OXIGEN II is a completely new development.
Design chief Ernst Strobl has optimised the profile for higher
performance, giving the kite more cells, a higher aspect ratio
and incomparable stability. The new innovative materials used
for the wing and the firewire bridle give a significant weight
saving
The result is a high end intermediate kite which is very
near to race kite performance but nevertheless has easy handling
and a very forgiving behaviour. It is not necessary to be
always on the alert to correct the kite, even when the flyer
makes an occasional mistake the OXIGEN II stays in the air
The optional SPS Speed/Power System
is easily fitted for use with bar or handles and allows for
a large useable wind range and dynamic control of power and
flying speed. Along with the optimised range of sizes, it
is no problem to find the perfect U-Turn OXIGEN II for all
activities and wind conditions

Trimmers |
The U-Turn trim system allows you to easily
change the angle of attack of the kite, altering the characteristics
to best suit your chosen activity, or the prevailing wind
conditions.
You can adjust it to be stable when it's gusty, fast for
flying in the lightest winds, or depowered when it's strong.
Set it well forward for speed in a buggy, or lifty and grunty
for jumping, boarding or on soft surfaces.

Tips and Tricks |
The handling of the Oxigen II is about the best you’ll
find, almost like a stunt kite. You can stall it, spin it,
stop it dead anywhere in the window and fly it backwards.
Great for perfecting your kite flying skills.
Less experienced flyers can improve stability by increasing
the angle of attack with the trim system and trimming the
brakes quite tight so that a crease can be seen on the undersurface
near the trailing edge, but don't overdo it or the kite can
stall out or spin too easily
You can depower the kite when the wind is too strong for
your experience by reducing the angle of attack with the trimmers
When the wind is very light you can decrease the angle of
attack with the trim system to to make the kite fly faster
For scudding, jumping, boarding or buggying on soft ground
you should trim the kite for maximum 'grunt' by increasing
the angle of attack. For speed on a hard surface, use the
trimmers to reduce the angle of attack and get the kite flying
fast.
The set-up of a kite is a very much down to personal preference
and you should experiment to find the settings and techniques
that suit you. Please contact us

own to share
